Financial Peace University

Parents' Academy Financial Peace University at BSA

Do you often find yourself with too much month at the end of the money? Are you getting tired of living paycheck to paycheck? If you are ready to get control of the money you have the time is right to join Financial Peace University. This program will give you the tools to manage your money and get out of debt. Through a series of 13 weekly lessons, participants will gain the knowledge and skills to change their financial legacy.

Each session includes a video lesson taught by Dave Ramsey, author of the New York Times bestsellers, The Total Money Makeover, Financial Peace and More Than Enough.
Discussion questions and an informal support group complete each lesson. Put your motivation in gear with the FPU program. Past graduates Patty and Ernest stated,
“FPU is a wide eye opener: the things you learn are things you heard from family and friends or you already knew but never put to work. This program will help and guide you through the toughest questions. With the help of FPU, we changed the way we handle money and have paid off our home, cleared up outstanding bills and started a savings account.” Graduates Pete and Veronica shared, “The impact FPU has had on us is that we communicate better about our finances and our future. The greatest challenge that we have is trying to stay focused on not spending on things we do not need. Our greatest victory has been paying off most of our medical bills and spreading the news about FPU to others. If anyone is considering taking the class, know that it will take a huge burden off once you take that first step to financial peace.”

The program will be offered by the Parents’ Academy, a program of Blessed Sacrament Academy at 1135 Mission Road. Call today to reserve a space for your family at the free class preview on August 28th. The program will begin on Sept. 4th and meet every Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm for 13 weeks. A light supper and childcare are available during all sessions. Call Kathy Lozano, Parents’ Academy Director, at 532-0894 for more information.

National Accreditation Awarded to BSA Child Development Center
Posted by: klozano on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 - 11:53 AM
Current Events Congratulations are in order for all the staff, parents and children of the BSA Child Development Center! On July 12, 2007, Director Alice Alvarez received official notification that the Center has been accredited by the National Accreditation Commission for Early Care and Education Programs. This prestigious designation is reserved for programs of outstanding quality. After an extensive self study process and an on-site evaluation of all areas of the program, curriculum and facility, BSA was awarded the designation of National
Accreditation. BSA Child Development Center also received the seal of approval as a faith based early education program.

Many thanks to all who helped us achieve this long awaited goal. Administrators, classroom staff and families each played a special role in building a quality learning experience for young children. We are joyfully celebrating this great achievement and look forward to further developing in
excellence. Congratulations to all!!!
